This is true - perma-banned really means perma-banned.

1- What extraordinary action would you take?:Crawl through the Arena Net vent system until I get to head's office.

2- Instead of a Permanent Ban .... - Unban me with full access to the underworld/FoW/Deep/everywhere with all enemies non aggressive even if I attack them. Also I get all titles maxed on all characters I have.
Have the ability to change peoples gender at will. They have to scan in a picture of my ass and make it the Rank 15 emote.

3- As a bonus... PLEASE.... - I get all of the devs teams right hands cut off and pickled, because they stole from me my account.

4- If I am allowed to come back, I will ....... - Be extremely rich.

Now I want to be banned

That's okay then. I'd either sneakily buy another account until that got banned, if I really had to keep playing or just play another game.
There seem to be people on gwonline saying the bannings are Anet's way of forcing people to buy the game again in order to make more money. It would seem that is not the case.

1- What extraordinary action would you take?: Send a few e-mails asking why, and if they can't really do anything then it sure is a nice time to quit, with everything picking up.

2- Instead of a Permanent Ban .... - Suspension, I dunno lol

3- As a bonus... PLEASE.... - wut?

4- If I am allowed to come back, I will ....... - do whatever I want.

No idea what I would do, I hope I will never get into the situation.

But you can see how far people can go that got banned for a good reason, the infamous 117. In this thread they were in the state of denial, then they tried reasoning, then they questioned the duration of the band and whatever.

P.S.: The next banwave will be 4400.

Are you sure? I was banned in WOW, sent few emails got automatic reply, and after 2 weeks got a new game and I am playing it ever since w/o any problems.
Same thing I would do with GW i guess.

Just e-mail support. I was perma banned once and sent ONE support ticket only to find out I was banned "in error" as they put it. I was given my account back right after they read the ticket.

So, I guess thats all I'd do. If I DID break the EULA then I'd take the ban lose everything and either buy them all again or wait for GW2. The only thing to say here is, don't break their rules. You don't wanna end up in jail, don't break the law, same principle here.

If my account would get banned ....

I'd bitch on Guru. (Pretty much because it's the only site that still tolerates my insanity! )
Bitch some more.
And bitch some more.

And that would be it. Oh and never buying anything else from anyone connected with GW.

What? I am a paying customer - BUT bitching is ALWAYS fun!

How far? About the distance of my bed to my toilet.

Seriouly, if I was banned from cheating, I'd take it like a man. Christ! they've got some balls to hacked, cheated or whatever and when they got caught red handed, what did they do? Dropped their freaking balls and cried, what a bunch of mook!

3- As a bonus... PLEASE.... - Require that I wear the title "Cheating is not right. Do not try to circumvent the rules for your own personal gain, or end up like me."

4- If I am allowed to come back, I will ....... - Find another exploit. Think about that before reinstating me.
Here's my response.

I'm just curious. I keep thinking, what would I do? how far would I go? if this was me. If my account was banned... the thought makes me sick.

So this is the scenario... IMAGINE that your account was banned. How far would you be willing to go to get it back?

Please don't post "I didn't do anything, it wasn't an exploit, I didn't know..." This thread is NOT about the 117. It's about the rest of us, IF our account was banned.

You are in front of the CEO super boss of ANET ( or 2, I think). You have been accused of something so severe they are going to PERMANENTLY BAN your account. This is your chance to plea a bargain:

1- What extraordinary action would you take?: Get on a plane and fly to ANET's Headquarters.

2- Instead of a Permanent Ban .... - Ban me for 3 months.

3- As a bonus... PLEASE.... - Strip all my characters of armor, weapons, gold. Please leave my Holiday Hats and my titles ( if possible, or keep the titles, but please leave my hats).

4- If I am allowed to come back, I will ....... - never, ever, ever go anywhere anything that doesn't look right.

Please Follow the question format. Thanks!!
Too much work...I'd just buy someone elses account from them so I would not have to re-do all the work I had done already

Only if you are stupid enough to use your real name and address etc. As I remember I didn't even do that with my original account and certainly wouldn't do it with a replacement. I don't believe in giving personal information to any company unless I am absolutely sure how they will use it.

See that's why I HATE my spellchecker!
I mistyped it - and this was the only suggestion it offered to me. AND I blindly took it - thinking "HA! What do I know!"

Firstly don't double post.

In regards to a.net's security I don't think anyone here has a right to comment on it, considering none of us know how it works.

However I'm sure like all large companies they have a number of security firewalls and devices in place to prevent data from being stolen.

The game was hacked CLIENT SIDE, not server side. So really their data protection is not questionable at all.

Now if someone hacked the game SERVER SIDE that would be a different manner all together. But that hasn't been the case yet.

I would be willing to do nearly anything to not loose 15 lvl 20 characters that have over half of them beaten all 4 games. i would fly to where ever anet is and have lunch with them, and pay them for all the games over again, and let them take all my leet loot that I aquired over 3 years, to keep the lvls and the chars. I dont care for hats, but I had them all.

LOL

Then I would sign with blood an agreement to never ever do anything, that might be a bug glitch etc again, and then have them explain to me in plain talk how to tell what is and isnt part of the game, as I clearly have no idea anymore.
